Adding a note at the bottom to be removed after airing about the veracity of episode previews from this show in particular. CodyM 22:23, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I seen the preview and I did not see the Haitan talk. Give me a link to see this "global" preview.

There are several of them. The one that played right after the last episode on Global had Hiro saying "How do you stop an exploding man?". I think I also watched another one on Global that did not feature that quote. --Addict 2006 23:26, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Here's one of the several previews: http://video.canada.com/Global_VideoContent.aspx?&cat=189 - Not sure if that's much help because it's one of several. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Addict 2006 (talkcontribs) 23:33, 4 December 2006 (UTC). --Addict 2006 23:35, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Possibilities

[edit]

So the scene toward the end with Peter igniting in the middle of the city... was he seeing his own future? Was he seeing it through the eyes of Ted, or possibly Sylar? They're the only 3 people it could be - Ted, unleashing his power, Sylar - having stolen Ted's power and unleashing it, or Peter inadvertently borrowing Ted's power and being unable to control it? It's definitely what Isaac painted, that's for sure. I think at least something should be added to the article discussing the three possibilities. Also, where did Peter get his sudden foresight from? Is it possible that his power somehow "stores" those of others in addition to borrowing them, sort of like a non-vampiric, non-murderous passive form of what Sylar does? Also a mention of Isaac's discovery of being able to use his power without shooting up, the revelation that Hiro may for some reason take a trip back in time, and the fact that Lyle and Zach have had their memory wiped.... There's alot in this episode that could go in the article. 59.100.99.169 12:43, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

However, none of these speculations and "possibilities" have a place in the article. Only write about what the characters did and said in the episode, without drawing any conclusions or speculating about why things happened or what they mean. Primogen 14:07, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Primogen, don't be a prick. These are events that are directly linked to other events in the series that I'm talking about here - I'll admit there was a little bit of speculation over who was in the painting, why peter goes nova, etc but you don't have to be such an elitist about it - you're not the sole defender and authority on Heroes, no matter what you think.210.8.56.62 01:23, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Primogen is correct in stating that this article should not contain speculation. Your theories are fine for fan-sites, but not for an encyclopedia. You shouldn't take things so personally. Jeff schiller 06:56, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just speculation here - but personally I thought the image represented Peter absorbing too many powers and not being able to "handle" it. --Mjrmtg 17:04, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Peter seems to have another, yet undiscovered power. If you remember Peter also saw what happened to his brother and his brother's wife in his dreams ("Six Months Ago"). 213.157.7.176 19:36, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good point, 213.157.7.176. Likewise, he had a variety of "dreams" or "visions" that dealt with Nathan and him flying. Thus, this does appear to be some unique ability that he possesses, albeit it's still very much unexplained. Homologeo 04:41, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Also the conversation he had with the dieing Charles Deveaux that the latter recalls in his dieing moments.Stone11375 23:41, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Painting

[edit]

I was wondering if we might be able to set up an allusion to other media section, because when Hiro sees himself in Isaac's painting, he exclaims something to the effect of, "what if I step on a bug, I could change history!" This would be an obvious reference to Ray Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder" --Johnnyreb 18:02, 5 December 2006 (UTC)REDMON89[reply]

I thought of Bradbury's story too when I heard Hiro say that, and while it is interesting that Hiro said something echoing that storie's plot, I don't think its notable until it's verifiable that the show's writers were actually thinking of the story when they wrote the episode. Primogen 19:19, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion

[edit]

I expanded the article, but could someone put some links up? I don't know how to link to certain areas on a page. User:BioYu-Gi! 12/5/06

There's a lot of incorrect information in your expansion. Sylar couldn't use his powers because the Haitian was close by. When Eden went in to convince him to kill himself, the Haitian was at Mr. Bennet's house, thus was unable to mask Sylar's power. That's just one of the things I picked up on. I'm going to take it upon myself to revise this edit, ALOT. You may not like that, but that doesn't bother me. EDIT I've just completed the initial revision of the synopsis, which is much more accurate - it was clear to me that you didn't even pay attention to the episode, missing such things as the prescence and absensce of the haitian in 2 scenes, and also not accurately describing the scene with Matt and Peter. I'd appreciate if this was either left the way I've done it, or added to, but not changed back to the way it was before, as my revision is also structured better grammatically. 210.8.56.62 01:26, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've revised your revision. You had some statements in the article about the Haitian's powers and DL being confused which are unverifiable. I tend to agree with you that the Haitian may have the power to block the powers of other heroes, but this hasn't been verified, and there have been at least 3 instances where heroes have been able to use their powers despite the Haitian's presence. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 171.159.64.10 (talk) 18:13, 6 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]
If the Haitian was the only thing keeping Sylar from using his powers, then it would be too risky for the Haitian to leave the vicinity of Sylar. I think it's more likely the cell has some power dampening ability that Eden turned off so she could use her power. Obviously this is speculation, though, and probably shouldn't be added. --Stabbey 21:45, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think possibly Sylar could attack Eden because her Voice doesn't influence the person immediatly as can be seen in "Six Months Ago". Officer Parkman didn't instantly turn around and got himself a donut but he first waited several seconds. So possibly Eden's voice needs some time before it starts to take full effect. Just speculations, though. 213.157.1.54 14:43, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

did Peter say "it's me" or "is me"? dposse 17:50, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think he said "it's me". --Stabbey 21:45, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Table of Contents

[edit]

I notice that prior Heroes episodes have a table of contents box at the top, but i cant figure out the code to get that on here. Anyone? Pauly0 19:31, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a code, it's a matter of sections. With only three sectios and little content overall, a TOC isn't likely to pop up. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 22:31, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gotcha, thanks Pauly0 19:15, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

images

[edit]

They all have pictures in the infoboxes. I do not see why this, and Godsend, are so different from the others. If you can find a better picture to place in the infobox, fine, then upload it and put it in. But until then, there's no reason why we should go against what everyone else has done. dposse 13:25, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pix in the infobox seems like the obvious choice, I don't see a reason to do otherwise. --Milo H Minderbinder 16:29, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't agree that they're not providing critical commentary in the infobox, nor are they decorative. --Milo H Minderbinder 16:43, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It would be best if we discussed this at the WikiProject talk page. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 22:10, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Production Details

[edit]

This episode shows Isaac when Peter is exploding, but when Hiro went to the future Isaac was dead before the explosion.

What an ass of a thing to say, it's only Peter's mind envisioning the explosion. It's made pretty clear that it's just a vague dream sequence by how weird everyone's reacting, not to mention obvious inaccuracies like how Claire is still sporting her uniform. Did Hiro tell Peter that Isaac is going to die before the explosion so he can have accurate dreams? Goroliath
